RIASLA Announces 2016-2017 Professional Design Awards

Providence, RI, December  14, 2017 — The Rhode Island Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) announced the 2016-2017 Design Awards during the RIASLA Holiday & Awards Party in Pawtucket, RI on December 6th.  Two Merit Awards, One Honor Award, One Student Award and Two Special Recognition Awards were presented during the evening’s ceremonies.

 

L + A Landscape Architecture received a Merit Award in Communications for The Driverless City Project. BETA Group received a Merit Award for Bushnell Park North in Large Scale Built Design.  An Honor Award was given to Kate Field & Associates for Verbena in Small Scale Built Design.  A Student Award was given to Rebecca Nolan for Under the Surface: Hidden Dimensions of Drainage Landscapes.   In addition to presenting the design awards, two Special Recognition awards were given out to chapter members. Adam Anderson received a Special Recognition award for 10,000 Suns. Nathan Socha received a Special Recognition for his 5 Years of Continued Dedication to RIASLA.

 

The 2017-2018 awards were juried by the St. Louis of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
